Huntington Dog Beach
The famous 1.5-mile dog beach between Goldenwest and Seapoint Streets. Despite the off-leash reputation, city code requires dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet in the designated dog area.
The rules, verified
- City municipal code (Ch. 13.08): dogs permitted in the designated dog area on a leash up to 6 feet
- Dogs must be leashed entering and exiting, in parking lots and on the bluffs
- Owners must pick up waste immediately
- No aggressive or sick dogs; no puppies under 4 months
- Current vaccinations, license and tags required
