Dogs welcome on most Jekyll Island beaches year-round on a leash (max 16 feet) — with one protected shorebird zone closed to pets.
The rules, verified
- Leash required at all times, maximum 16 feet — e-collars are not a substitute
- No pets between South Dunes Picnic Area and 2,000 ft southeast of St. Andrews Picnic Area
- Remove and dispose of pet waste — bag receptacles at each pet-friendly access point
